Two of our agency's titles included in the IBBY Honour List 2026
Two titles acquired through Book Smugglers Agency have been included in the IBBY Honour List 2026, highlighting the excellence of their Lithuanian and Arabic translations.

We are delighted to share that two titles whose translation rights were acquired through Book Smugglers Agency have been selected for the IBBY Honour List 2026 in the Translation category.
The recognised translations include GIRAFFE'S HEART IS UNBELIEVABLY LARGE (orig. GIRAFFENS HJÄRTA ÄR OVANLIGT STORT) by Sofia Chanfreau, illustrated by Amanda Chanfreau, translated into Lithuanian by Mantas Karvelis from the original Swedish edition, and TONY (orig. NUKAS) by Audra Baranauskaitė, illustrated by Lina Itagaki, published in Arabic as ADAM and translated by Samar Mahfouz Barraj for readers in the United Arab Emirates.
We are especially proud to see these books continue their journeys around the world, reflecting our commitment to connecting outstanding children's books with publishers and helping stories travel across languages and cultures.
Published every two years by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), the Honour List is one of the world's most respected international selections celebrating excellence in children's literature. The 2026 edition is the largest in the programme's history, featuring 191 nominated titles from 59 countries in 52 languages across the categories of writing, illustration, and translation.
The selected books form a travelling collection that will be presented at the 40th IBBY World Congress in Ottawa, before continuing to international events including the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Bologna Children's Book Fair, introducing outstanding children's books to readers and publishing professionals worldwide.
